Debra Carnley, Heart 2 Heart Women's Ministry Director

Debra was saved at the age of 11 and cannot imagine her life without Jesus! She has been married for 26 years, has 2 grown sons and a new daughter-in-law. She is a voracious reader and she even dabbles a little with writing non-fiction. She taught exceptional student education in public schools for 13 years and homeschooled her boys for 9 years. She has been involved in Women's Ministry (in Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee) since 1995. Although she has worn many hats in the church, her heart is Women's Ministry. She loves being involved in a woman's spiritual growth and she loves to share the Word with adult women.

The goal of Heart 2 Heart Women's Ministry at Cowan First Baptist is to meet women of all ages wherever they are on their spiritual journey and help them grow in their walk with Christ. To that end, we offer opportunities for Bible study, Christian fiction book discussion, retreats, and conferences, as well as fun "field trips".

 Debra's favorite scripture is:
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8(KJV)
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
