We are the Faithful Encouragers

doing what we can

To help and encourage

our fellow man.

To let them know God loves them

as He shows us every day

They may be feeling down

but we encourage them to keep in God's way.

We're always ready to help them

with our prayers and helping hands.

Reminding them of God's goodness

as we follow his command.

We do love the fellowship of

our Christian sister and brother

and the encouragement we do give and receive from each other.

Welcome to Faithful Encouragers

Ann Glover, Seniors Ministry Director

Huntsville, Alabama, is the hometown of Ann Glover. She is the ninth of eleven children born to a Southern Baptist preacher and an elementary school teacher. It was the influence and example of her parents that had a major impact in developing Ann’s love for the Lord and love for learning. Ann accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of seven. She was baptized by her father, Rev. Elmon Brown. At that time, her father was pastor at Second Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Ann is not only our Church Secretary, she is also a sister of our Senior Pastor, Bro. Tim Brown. Ann laughs and says that she is the only one in the congregation that knows the farfetched stories that Bro. Tim tells about growing up in their family really is the truth!

Ann has been married to her high school sweetheart, Gary Glover, for 41 years. During Gary’s career with Service Master, the Glover family enjoyed seeing the United States by living in eight different states. They were blessed with two children, David (deceased 4/7/99) and Carole. Carole is married to their favorite (even if he is their only) son-in-law, Eric. Gary and Ann are also blessed with two fabulous grandchildren, Anna Grace and Christian.

It has been Ann’s privilege to serve in many capacities in churches for many years. She is excited about this new season of ministry with the Faithful Encouragers and looking forward to what the Lord has in store in the months ahead!

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

The Faithful Encouragers...Who are we?

Webster’s Dictionary defines the word encourage as a verb meaning “to inspire with courage or hope.” That sums up what our group is all about. We are a group of “classic” encouragers, in the prime time of our lives, who meet for fun and fellowship. We love the LORD and each other.

We meet once per month and usually on the third Tuesday of the month. When we come together, there is no telling what will happen! We enjoyed a variety of outings last year, including traveling to Fayetteville, TN, to Marvin’s Family Restaurant for a specially priced senior buffet. We also enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Bell Buckle Café in Bell Buckle, TN. With our group, the travel time is more than half the fun! It’s amazing the things we have learned about each other!

If you’re looking for a wonderful, warm group of folks who will love you and encourage you, we’re IT! The good news is that you don’t even have to be a senior citizen to join us.
