WMU MEETING SCHEDULE
WMU at CFBC currently meets monthly.
The WMU Prayer Circle, led by Karen Ingle, meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
The WMU Mission Action Circle, led by Sylvia Coulson, will resume in November and will meet in the evening. Watch this page for updates.
Each meeting offers the opportunity for Bible study, prayer, mission education, projects, and fellowship.
Nov. 8~WMU Prayer Circle 1:00 p.m.
(We will be making Thanksgiving Baskets for our homebound members.)
Nov.21~Action Circle: 6:00 p.m., Coulson home
Dec. 13th~ WMU Christmas Party @ The Corner House
Be sure to check out "Children in Action" page under Children's Ministry.
In order to educate our young people about missions, Debra Carnley will be teaching Children in Action starting Sept. 14th, every Wednesday evening, at 6:00 p.m- for 1st – 5th graders. They will learn about and pray for missions and missionaries, and do missions-related projects.

MISSIONS
Missions are an integral part of the Southern Baptist church, and Cowan First Baptist is no exception. While not all of us are able to serve in the mission field, we are able to give to missions. To that end, CFBC participates in many missions offerings throughout the year under the umbrella of WMU (Women’s Missionary Union), which was established as an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention over a century ago. Some of those offerings and seasons of prayer include:

As a church, CFBC gives to community ministries to aid those in need in our county. We provide meals and transportation for families in need within our church. We have an active card ministry and prayer ministry, as well.
