Top Football Official

Well done, Eric Bradford, winner of the A.F. Bridges Award for Athletic District 6 of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).  The Bridges Award recognizes Eric as the top secondary school football official for the year in District 6.  He and his wife, Lisa, are the youth directors at Cowan FBC.

Fresh Start on the New Testament

If you weren’t able to begin the one-year New Testament reading program last October, we’ll start fresh January 5, 2020.  Look for new reading guides soon.

Meanwhile, if you started the program last October, just keep reading and enjoying the Word.

Library Coming Soon

The walls are painted, the shelves are installed and volunteers have been busy collecting and organizing books and videos for the soon-to-be church library.

Look for the library to open in January, God willing.  If you have books or videos you’d like to donate, please get in touch with Scarlett Cole, Robin Mays or Carla Willingham.

Calendar Update

The Monday night Bible study will not meet in December.  The study group will begin meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. starting in January.

Life’s Greatest Question

Do you know for certain that you will go to Heaven when you die? Would you say that is something you are still working on? One thing you can know for sure - God loves you! God's Word is very clear, either you will spend eternity with God or suffer eternal separation.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Spotlight on Service - Good News Club

What is Good News Club@? Good News Club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in which our trained and cleared teachers and staff meet with children at Cowan Elementary School each Tuesday afternoon at 3:00pm. Cowan Elementary School is a place the children are familiar with and can easily navigate and safely join in with their parent or guardian's permission. Each week our teachers present an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press. This action packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a mission story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme.

The purpose of the Good News Club is to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Want to join us as we teach children about Jesus Christ or enroll your child in the Good News Club? If so, please contact Erik Cole at 931-315-9795.

The Main Thing
The starting point for CFBC is Jesus. Our hunger is to know Him and share His love with those around us. We invite you to know Him and know what it means to be forgiven and truly follow Christ. Life is full of demands, conflicts, struggles and tough decisions. Meeting those challenges takes strength, and that strength can only be found in Jesus Christ, and we unashamedly proclaim Him as Lord! That's why we like to say that CFBC is a great place to belong, filled with loving people ready to welcome you.....We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

What is Heaven and how do I get there?
What do you think it takes for a person to go to Heaven?  Please review the information found under God's Plan of Salvation icon or if you would like to speak with someone about Eternal Life, please call the church office at 931-967-7506 and speak to Ann.  She will direct you to one of our Ministry Team members to answer your questions.
