Loving God, Loving People, Serving Both

Sunday, August 2

Nominating Committee meets immediately after morning worship.

July 26 services available

If you weren't able to attend July 26, both the morning worship service and the evening Bible study are available on the CFBC YouTube channel and the church Facebook page.  See the "Videos" tab above for quick-click links.

Prayer Walk for Schools

About 20 CFBC members gathered Saturday, July 25, to pray for area schools.  After brief prayer at the church, the group split into teams and traveled to Cowan Elementary, Franklin County High School, Huntland High School and both North and South Middle Schools to cover those students, teachers, administrators and staff in prayer.  If you weren't able to attend, please remember the schools in your daily devotions.  Thank you!

 Beginning August 18

BIG Boat

CFBC youth recently journeyed to Kentucky and a long way back in time with a trip to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.  More pictures are under the "Photos" tab above.

A lot of fundraising and hard work by Women on Mission has led to the completion of the Doors and Drawers kitchen remodel.  Phase II recently was wrapped up with the installation of a center island.

Except for minor buffing, the Rat Pack classroom (AKA New Vision/AKA chapel) facelift is finished.  The update included fresh paint, a better use of the existing pews, a new television monitor and whiteboard, and additional wall art.  Pastor LZ is sticking by his promise to eat his least-favorite food once the remodel became reality.  A special dinner of chicken nuggets is scheduled later this year.

Good Day at the Cookie Jar Café

Johnny Bradford had to sprint to make it into the group shot, but overall the Faithful Encouragers had a great time during their July outing to Cookie Jar Café.  To learn more about the age 55+ Faithfuls, contact Ann Glover.  Additional pictures are under the “Photos” tab above.

Life’s Greatest Question

Do you know for certain that you will go to Heaven when you die? Would you say that is something you are still working on? One thing you can know for sure - God loves you! God's Word is very clear, either you will spend eternity with God or suffer eternal separation.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Spotlight on Service - Good News Club

What is Good News Club@? Good News Club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in which our trained and cleared teachers and staff meet with children at Cowan Elementary School each Tuesday afternoon at 3:00pm. Cowan Elementary School is a place the children are familiar with and can easily navigate and safely join in with their parent or guardian's permission. Each week our teachers present an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press. This action packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a mission story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme.

The purpose of the Good News Club is to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Want to join us as we teach children about Jesus Christ or enroll your child in the Good News Club? If so, please contact Erik Cole at 931-315-9795.

The Main Thing
The starting point for CFBC is Jesus. Our hunger is to know Him and share His love with those around us. We invite you to know Him and know what it means to be forgiven and truly follow Christ. Life is full of demands, conflicts, struggles and tough decisions. Meeting those challenges takes strength, and that strength can only be found in Jesus Christ, and we unashamedly proclaim Him as Lord! That's why we like to say that CFBC is a great place to belong, filled with loving people ready to welcome you.....We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
What is Heaven and how do I get there?
What do you think it takes for a person to go to Heaven?  Please review the information found under God's Plan of Salvation icon or if you would like to speak with someone about Eternal Life, please call the church office at 931-967-7506 and speak to Ann.  She will direct you to one of our Ministry Team members to answer your questions.
